Ahmed Abul-Gheit, the Foreign Minister, gave direct instructions on 26/8/2007 to the Egyptian embassy and consulate in Kuwait to continue their intensive efforts and contacts to guarantee the release of the Egyptian detained by the Kuwaiti police.

The other Egyptian detainee was released after the consulate has paid the bail. The Minister asked to be kept updated on any developments in the situation.
