Egypt convokes an Arab follow-up committee meeting

Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul-Gheit addressed messages to the member states of the Arab follow-up committee asking for implementing the Arab peace initiative. He also asked Arab League Seacretary General Amr Moussa to call for convening the committee meeting next month in Cairo.

Abul-Gheit said the committee will review its activity in the upcoming stage in order to promote the Arab peace initiative.

Abul-Gheit said the Arab quartet comprising Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates will meet in May in presence of the UN Secretary General and the foreign ministers of Russia and the United States.
