The Foreign Ministry on Tuesday 20/2/2007 warned Egyptians against traveling to Equatorial Guinea unless there was a necessity due to the shaky security situation there.

Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Ambassador Hisham Khalil urged Egyptians staying there to be extremely cautious and keep constantly in touch with the Egyptian Embassy in Conakry.

Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul-Gheit gave instructions to the Embassy there to take all measures for guaranteeing the safety and security of the Egyptians there, he added.
