Trade Minister: Egypt seeks new level of economic cooperation with US

Rasheed Mohamed Rasheed Trade and Industry Minister said addressing a symposium organized by the American business Council for international understanding in Washington on 20/11/2009 that the economic reforms top the agenda of the government.

He said Egypt is witnessing comprehensive reforms in the various fields to guarantee the future for the coming generations and provide work opportunities for the youth, improve health, education and infrastructure services.

Rasheed added the Relations with the United States are ever growing as trade exchange and reached $ 8.2 billion in 2008/2009 and it went up to $ 4.9 billion during the first eight months of 2009.

A number of US firms want to make investments in Egypt, Rasheed Affirmed.
